💚 Constancy in Beauty • We learn so much about ourselves and life itself when we take a closer look to the nature, physically and symbolically.
🫒 What is the olive tree’s long life secret?
🕊 The olive tree is first mentioned in Scripture when the dove returned to Noah's ark carrying an olive branch in its beak. Since that time, the olive branch has been a symbol of “peace” to the world, and we often hear the expression, “extending an olive branch” to another person as a desire for peace.
🌱The olive tree is famous for growing in poor soil and extremely rocky environments. Many of the oldest trees alive today are olive trees. The trunk and branches die off many times over the course of the life of the tree. The root and the parts of the olive tree that are underground sprout and send forth new trees again and again.
🪴Olive trees are also self-pollinating, which is unusual in the plant kingdom. They have male flowers that produce pollen and hermaphrodite flowers that have both male and female parts and develop into fruits.
💚 Peace, birth and death cycles, feminine and masculine fusion, evolution through any conditions, strong roots…
🧘🏼♂️How does that reflect inside of you? Let’s meditate next to an olive tree.
