Guided Meditation • The Elements & Chakras

Here’s a good meditation practice:


Wake up at sunrise or do it at sunset (when the nature’s elements are balanced, to balance the « Sushumna Nadi » the center flow of our life force according to Ayurveda) - scan slowly your body. If you know about the chakras you can simply go one by one from down to up to open yourself and let go of any blockage. Simply by observing and welcoming. You have nothing to do, just to be, and breath through.


Here though is another way of thinking of the chakras, more aligned with the elements:


Earth chakra is at base of the spine. It’s about survival, what blocks it can be fear. What are you afraid of? Let it go.


Water chakra is on the lower abdomen and linked to pleasure desire, what blocks it is guilt. What do you blame yourself for? Let go of it. Forgive yourself.


Fire chakra is on the upper abdomen, the stomach that transforms food into energy, and it’s dealing with willpower. What blocks it is shame. What are you ashamed of? For what reason are you disappointed in yourself? Welcome it, face it, let it go. To obtain balance, you must accept all the aspects of your life.


Air chakra is in the center of the chest, where the heart is. It is dealing with love, and blocked by grief. Love is beyond time and space. Love is a form of energy that swirled all around people. Let yourself cry your loved ones who left physically and feel their everlasting infinite love still living inside of your heart.


Sound chakra is in the throat, dealing with truth, and blocked by lies. What are the lies you tell others or yourself about your true nature? Let the answers come to you, and chose to speak the true word.


Light chakra in the forehead, dealing with insight, and blocked by illusion. The greatest illusion of the world is the one of separation. Like our two eyes - here we feel the third eye that unifies. Everything is connected.


Thought chakra located at the crown of the head, deals with cosmic energy and is blocked by earthly attachment. What are you attached to? Let it go too. It doesn’t mean you don’t care about it, it means you’re not enslave to it.


Feel your body senses and come back to yourself, open your eyes, journal, let a gentle smile come into your face and feel gratitude for life.
