Creating Your Set of Singing Bowls

First, let's discuss what to consider when buying singing bowls:

The most important aspect is the frequency at which the singing bowls are tuned, especially if you are expanding your set and want them to sound harmonious together.
There are two main frequencies at which singing bowls can be tuned: 432Hz and 440Hz. These frequencies correspond to the tuning of the musical note LA / A.
On the internet, you will find various debates about 432Hz and 440Hz (see links below for more information). However, what's important to remember is that with 432Hz, you can play the most of possible harmonics. Here is a table to visualize those "harmonics" (we learn more about the harmonics in the chapter 2 of my mentorship program. See here). 432Hz is considered the frequency of nature, derived from precise sacred mathematics and geometry found in nature itself. That's why it has the most comprehensive harmonic frequency scale.
"Over 90% of people found that the tones from the A=440Hz tuning method sounded uncomfortable, irritating and unpleasant, whereas the tones obtained from the A=432Hz tuning method sounded peaceful, pleasant and full."

Now, let's talk about where to buy your singing bowls.
For ecological reasons, I try to avoid shipping, especially from other countries. However, it's important to note that all crystal singing bowls, even if you purchase them in your own country, originate from China. This is also the most cost-effective way to buy them. I have personally been in direct contact with a supplier, and check the quality of the crystal thanks to a lithotherapist called Regina Martino.
Important notes as you purchase them online:
> If you need to chose a specific mallet with your singing bowl purchase, I recommend you to watch lesson 3b before.
> Make sure it comes with bags for transportation (usually they are purple), and keep the bubble wrap and wrapping paper to keep your singing bowls safe in the bags. I also let them in their plastic bags so it is easier to pull them out the case.
> Make sure it comes with a black (or white sometimes) plastic base to put the singing bowl on it (and not the textile one that are used for Tibetan singing bowls). To store them well, I put the black plastic base inside the bowl, so that the smallest bowl that I fit inside is well wedged.
> For the size, I advise you to take the smallest one, it will be less heavy to carry simply!
After researching in various places around the planet, compared quality and prices, and through my experiences with my students, I've came up with this set of 6-12" Singing Bowl Set, 432Hz, 7 Musical Notes (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si), Frosted White Crystal Quartz Sound Bowl, and it comes with Bags, different kinds of Mallets and the right O-Rings to place below the singing bowls. So you can be sure you are buying at a fair price and the best quality, a real 432Hz frequency set. Send me a message if you are interested.
If you have the opportunity I recommend you to go to a physical shop in order to hear and try to play the singing bowls while creating your set of singing bowls (and to avoid more shipment, it is good for the planet!)
Here some shops that I recommend:
- In the U.S. (shipping worldwide): Crystal Tones - https://www.crystalsingingbowls.com/
- In Israel (Tel Aviv): Kalimba - https://www.kalimba.co.il/ / Shalmon - https://shalmonmusic.co.il/ or you can find second hand in the Israeli sound healer whatsapp group (send me a message about that).
- In France (Paris): Rayon Magenta / Bols de Cristal - https://www.bols-de-cristal.paris/
- In Germany: Meinl Sonic Energy https://meinlsonicenergy.com/en/home
- In Australia: Rainbow Sounds https://www.rainbowsounds.co
But once again, it's just to go and try them, hear them, feel them, because it is way cheaper to buy them as as set than one by one + online.
