I had the honor to get an Ayurvedic massage by @sarsch_
š§“"Oil" and "Love" are the same word in sanskrit (Sneha), so as Sarah explained to me, massage is a true form of self-love.
šš¼ Sarah also explained that this Ayurvedic massage will balance all 3 "Doshas" and especially it will ground the "Vata", which puts us in a sattvic (Sattva) state.
āļø Wait... Ayurveda? Dosha? Vata? WHAT?
š§āāļø Well well... Ayurveda is the 1st known medical school born in India millennia ago. It has a global conception of health, considering the human being in 3 dimensions: the body - the purely material and physiological aspect; the mind - more subtle, made up of the 5 senses, the memory, the intellect but also the ego; and the soul or consciousness - the most ethereal element, the hidden divine element made of pure original Prana. Ayurveda believes that everyone is a unique alloy of emotional and physiological particularities, so each treatment is very personalized.
š The "Pakruti", also important concept, refers to our original constitution, the unique "set" we received at the time we were conceived. But our experiences in life influence us and deviate us from our basic constitution to a state called "Vikruti". To determine our Pakruti and prescribe what it takes to bring us back to our original constitution, Ayurveda uses the doshas.
Doshas are the 3 biological principles that constitute us from the five elements.

⢠Dosha Vata = Space + Air, representing all that is movement
⢠Dosha Pitta = Fire + Water, representing all things in transformation, such as digestion
⢠Dosha Kapha = Water + Earth, representing what is structuring and binding, such as the mucous membranes, bones, muscles, it is a dosha of stability.
šāāļø And for a last note... What I loved about this massage: the heated massage table, and the Tibetan singing bowl played on me at the end of the session! Thank you again Sarah!
